Interactive Maps - to view the interactive maps you will need to download and install the Arc IMS 9 Java Applet.

 

100 Centennial Arboretum Interactive Map - click on the map icon to the left, to begin navigating.

  Campus Change Interactive Map - . Click on the icon to the left to view the SMSU campus change from 1905 to present.
  Gifts and Donations Interactive Map - Click on the icon to the left to view and query the gift donations geospatial database.

Virtual Reality Model

This is a large model and will take a few minutes to download, you will also have to have a VRML viewer installed on your computer.


Movies
  This movie was the first one created using the geospatial database of the SMSU campus, the movie was produced using Arc GIS Scene 8 by students in the GRY 552 Digital Photogrammetry class. Download the movie in AVI format (11 MB).
  This preliminary movie was produced using Arc GIS Scene 9, the database used includes the centennial trees and SMSU gifts. Download (17 MB).
  This is a preliminary movie showing the database at ground altitude .Download (14MB).

...by Interactive Maps: Geographic Information System (GIS) based map that can be changed interactively. Maps can be queried to show different properties of the SMSU campus trees, buildings and gifts. This digital temporal map can also be used to interactively explore, produce and print personalized 'time snapshot' maps of the campus.
 
...by navigable Virtual Reality Model of the campus. 3D Virtual reality model of the campus showing the 2001 aerial photography and buildings with heights extracted using photogrammetric methods on the 1995 stereo aerial photograph pairs (this is a large model and will take a few minutes to download, you will also have to have a VRML viewer installed on your computer) (click here to download)
