Lear about the geology of the Carrington Hall from SMSU Geoscience Fact Sheet 2 ; the building is Stop # 1, 2 and 3 on the Field Guide to Geology of SMSU's Springfield Campus Tour.
     
Carrington Hall was named in honor of Mr. William T. Carrington, who was the first president of the State Normal School which is now Southwest Missouri State University. Carringtion Hall serves as the university administration building and an auditorium. Carrington Hall was constructed in 1908 as the first campus building and is located at 901 S. National.
