Hill Hall, in honor of Dr. Clyde M. Hill

Lear about the geology of the staircase in Hill Hall from SMSU Geoscience Fact Sheet 2 ; the staircase is Stop # 5 on the Field Guide to Geology of SMSU's Springfield Campus Tour.
     
Hill Hall was built in 1924 and is named in honor of SMSU's second president Dr. Clyde M. Hill who was a native of West Plains and headed the Yale Department of Education for many years. On the third floor of this building above the windows are engraved the names of famous people in the history of education. Hill Hall is located at 901 S. National.
