| On
September 15, 1995 the Southwest Missouri State University Board
of Govenors donated this plaza in honor of David and Lesley
Trottier the owners of Smittys Supermarket, Inc. which was headquartered
in Springfield, Missouri. David and Lesley Trottier have been
long- time friends and supporters of many programs and departments
throughout the university. The Trottiers have been instrumental
in enhancing the facilities relating to Bears Football. This
plaza recognizes David Trottier as a avid sports fan and successful
businessman and Lesley Fleenor Trottier a 1967 SMSU alumna and
former President of the SMSU Alumni Association. The Trottier
Plaza can be located on the north entrance of the Robert W.
Plaster Sports Complex. |
