Missouri
Leaf Arrangement and Shape:
Alternate with simple, egg-shaped leaves
Fruit Type:
Drupe (globe shaped and sweet)
Maximum Height:
90 feet

Has wart-like projections on bark of tree. The fruit is eaten by at least 25 bird species. It can be eaten raw and is sweet. Hackberry is drought resistant and relatively fast grower.
